Vesuvio has been Bay Ridge's neighborhood table since 1953 — Neapolitan home cooking, the same address, the same welcome.
Where We Come From
Vesuvio opened in 1953 on Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, rooted in the home-cooking traditions of Campania and Naples. From the beginning, it was a neighborhood restaurant — not a concept, not a chain, just honest Italian food made with care.
The Food We Make
The menu is built on the fundamentals of Neapolitan cooking: pizza, pasta, seafood, and the classic veal and chicken dishes that have stayed on our menu for decades. We call it healthy country cooking — nothing invented, nothing overcomplicated.
A Room for Every Occasion
Our private party room holds up to 80 guests and has hosted Bay Ridge baptisms, birthdays, and anniversaries for generations. We also cater by the tray.
Still Here, Still Open
We're open seven days a week, lunch through midnight — the same address, the same kitchen, the same welcome. In a city that never stops changing, Vesuvio endures.
